The three-way protection system uses a UV fluorescent bulb and a titanium dioxide coated surface to attract flying insects. The surface helps generate carbon dioxide, which is an effective attractant for mosquitoes, while the powerful fan draws insects into the retaining cage. Once trapped inside the screened cage, insects dehydrate and die. The system operates without pesticides, chemicals, smoke or odour, providing a convenient alternative to chemical insect control. It can target mosquitoes, flies, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, moths, gnats and other flying insects. The trap is designed for continuous operation and features a whisper-quiet fan. Its UV fluorescent bulbs can provide up to approximately 3,000 hours of operation, while the retaining cage can be removed for convenient emptying and cleaning. The DT2000XLP-TUN is supplied with two UV bulbs, a 10-foot power cord, cleaning brush and screwdriver. It operates from a standard 120V outlet and uses 35W of power.
